Unexplainable Grace

Day 9

This is Jax. He is extremely fuzzy and cuddly. Or he is extremely fuzzy and pointy. Those are his two moods. Cuddly or pointy. Luckily for us, most of the time he is cuddly. But if you aren't us, then not so much.

Day 8

I love the view from my bedroom. For some reason, winter trees remind me of my childhood. I have so many memories of playing outside after school with the neighborhood kids. I would come in around 5.30 when it was dark, eat dinner, and watch Wheel of Fortune with my grandfather. Not in that order. We were an 8pm dinner kind of family. My lips were always chapped and burning. I would be chilled for hours but there was usually a fire in the fireplace where my grandmother sat. It felt so warm. It was Home and I miss it.

Day 7

Wow. Two posts in one day, my head is practically reeling.

I spent a lovely morning at a friends house. She was selling some vintage things and I wanted to buy some vintage things. Perfect symbiosis. I got a bunch of really neat stuff. But that's not what my picture for today is. While I was driving around Bayview trying to find my way (for some reason I don't believe in gps when its comes to Bayview. I believe that I know my way around. This is not actually the case. Ever) because of course I was lost. Anyway. I saw this sign. One of my favorite things is when people alter traffic signs. Near my house there is a pedestrian crossing sign where the pedestrian is hula-hooping. How fun. And in Hawaii, there are charming signs warning of tsunami evacuation zones which depict pedestrians running towards the wave. Often they are holding surf boards, which has got to be helpful when one is running towards a tsunami.

Back to my sign today in Bayview. This pedestrian is holding a beer bottle. I found it to be appropo because I am usually going to Bayview to enjoy beer in one of the many beer serving establishments there.

Day 6

This is when I was almost home last night. 12.35am used to not be late for me. But last night I thought I was going to die from tired. Luckily, I didn't.

Day 5

I drink entirely too much soda. I took this photo yesterday but had technology issues getting it to this medium.  Anyway, I try to only have one soda a day, but lately it has been more of a 2 or 3 a day thing.

This was not supposed to be the entire focus of this entry. There was another more interesting, well more charming anyway, photo. But like I said, there were technology issues. So soda tower it is.  

Also? I should probably clean my coffee table...

Day 4

This is not a good quality photo at all, and I apologize for that. Today I went to Costco to get a steam mop and instead ended up with a crock pot and kettle corn. Kettle corn is definitely in my top 5 favorite foods. During summer and fair season (county fair, state fair), I pretty much live on kettle corn and cotton candy. Cotton candy is also in my top 5 favorite foods. Afterwards I went to the dog park to watch Stella run. So there is a bonus picture in this post :)

Day 3

This is Mulberry Stella sleeping. It's what she does mostly. She also loves the snow. This is not the photo I was originally planning to have for today, but she is awfully cute.

Day 2

I just started fostering retired racing greyhounds and today I picked up my second foster. My first was an amazing boy named Big Red. We fell in love and I had an extremely hard time giving him to the family who adopted him. With great reservations I am trying again.

The First Day

I recently read about Project 365. One photo every day for one year. What an amazing record of life to have. My first photo is relatively mundane, but it is how I spend a good part of my day.
